The parable of those who spend their substance in the way of Allah is that of a grain of corn: it grows seven ears, and each ear Hath a hundred grains. Those who spend their substance in the cause of Allah, and follow not up their gifts with reminders of their generosity or with injury, for them their reward is with their Lord: on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve.

Shia Muslim Association of Bay Area is an incorporated, tax-exempt, non-profit organization located in the Bay Area, California, United States of America. SABA accepts the following types of donations.

a. General Donations
b. Khums (please indicate the Marja-e-Taqleed)
c. Sadiqa
d. Zakat and Zakat of Fitra
e. Donations for New Building

Donations can be made through checks or credit cards (via networkforgood.org). You can use the following methods for donating to SABA.

1. Checks: If you are already a registered member please make your check payable to “SABA” and indicate on the check the type of your donation and mail to SABA. If you are a non-member and would like to send in a check, please register either on our web page www. saba-igc.org (before you send in your check) or send your name, address, phone number along with you check (if it is not on the check already). Also indicate the type of donation and mail to: 4415 Fortran Court, San Jose, CA 95134

2. Credit Cards: Please donate online via networkforgood.org. All donations are tax deductible for US taxpayers, and you will receive a receipt for your donation via email from networkforgood.org. Please note that you will be leaving SABA's web-site and going to networkforgood.org while making a credit card donation.

3. Stock Donations: You can either ask your brokerage to do a “DTC” transfer (more like wire-transfer of stocks) or do a regular transfer. Brokerage houses usually do not charge any money for a DTC transfer and they are much faster, however please check with your broker for more details. For both of these transfers you will need to provide your broker the following information about SABA account:

After you have executed your transfer, please fill out the “SABA STOCK DONATION FORM” and send it out to SABA email address at: saba@saba-igc.org. Link to this form is also given below.

4. Automatic Transfer of Monthly Membership Dues: An automatic transfer to SABA bank account is the prefered donation method. Although you can decide what works best for you , the recommended minimum is $100/month. Please fill out the “AUTOMATIC MONTHLY DUES DONATION FORM” and send it to us.
